Three Six Mafia's latest album "The Most Unknown"
is in stores now. The album title is quite fitting because
although we have jammed to their songs such as "Tear
Da Club Up," and "Ridin' Spinners," the casual
fan may not know these three brothers on a first name
basis. I admit, I was one of those people who knew the
songs but not much about the group. So peep this interview
and maybe you will learn a little bit more about Three
Six Mafia.

Three 6 Mafia-Can you tell me about the album title
The Most Unknown?
Three Six Mafia-We're
known, but we're not known. It's like you'll know some
of the songs but not all of our names.
What is the current line up of 3-6- Mafia?
Three Six Mafia-DJ
Paul, Juicy J, Crunchy Black
The reason I asked is because someone asked me, "Is Project
Pat in the group?" and I said I don't know I'll ask them.
Three Six Mafia-No
he was gone. People get us mixed up a lot.
How long did you take to record this new album?
Three Six Mafia-About
a year or more.
I saw the movie Hustle and Flow. Do you think that
movie characterizes the Memphis hip-hop scene?
Three Six Mafia-It's
a true story, that's really how it goes down in Memphis
like that.
You all were really one of the first groups from Memphis
to really hit it big. What do you think your legacy is
going to be in the hip-hop game?
Three Six Mafia-Independence.
We do DVD's. Holding strong for 10 years.
What are your feelings about when people here the name
"Three Six Mafia" and they often think of tear the club
up and club fightin' kind of songs?
Three Six Mafia-Cause
those are some of the songs we made when we first got
started. That was Three Six Mafia.
How would you describe this current album?
Three Six Mafia-The
current album is mixed up. We have some "Tear The Club
Up" kind of shit on there, stuff females can like, stuff
for everybody. Everything with the new album.
Are you going out on the road to promote the new album?
Three Six Mafia-Actually,
we are on the road right now.
Where are you guys at?
Three Six Mafia-We're
in Orlando right now. As we speak we're on the rizz-oad.
Will you be touring for the rest of the year?
Three Six Mafia-We
go off the tour around the 14th and then they have another
little tour we are trying to see how the paperwork goes
a little dirty south tour.
You have several guest artists featured on the album.
How did you go about choosing the artists included on
the album?
Three Six Mafia-I
just choosed most of the people I work with. Young Buck,
8 Ball MJG, I never worked with Trick Daddy but I always
liked his music. Slim
Thug, Paul Wall
I had worked with him for his album.
Tell me more about the independent albums and the DVD's?
Was that something
Three Six Mafia-Yes
we put out the movie Choices I and Choices 2 both 200,000
sold. We just keep trying to do the independent DVD's
You'll have to excuse me I live in Virginia Beach and
I miss out on a lot. Are these hip-hop related DVD's or
feature films?
Three Six Mafia-Feature
films, straight to DVD, script reading, straight movies
nothing about hip-hop. We have a new movie, a comedy coming
out Oct 25th. It's called The Clean Up Man.
Any songs on the new album especially special?
Three Six Mafia-The
first single Stay Fly.
Any comments for your fans?
